Jodi Morgan - Stylist/Owner

Hey everyone!

I'm Jodi, a simple Ohio girl born with big dreams and lots of passion! I know in the depths of my soul that I was born for the beauty industry. All things beauty were a part of my life growing up including modeling school, pageants, salon modeling and more. When it came time to plan my future at the age of 18, I knew college was not for me. While my parents initially questioned my decision, they recognized my determination and were in full support. I started my career at the Aveda institute in Ohio in 2006 and graduated in 2007 acquiring my cosmetology license. I continued my education with a training program at the renowned Jacob Neal salon where I received extensive training from some of the best in the industry. In 2008 I felt the sunshine call and I moved down south to North Carolina where I met the man of my dreams in 2009. Over the next 9 years as I was building my career in a local salon, we got married and we have 4 amazing kids. I worked my way from an entry level stylist to being one of the top producers over those 9 years. I had the opportunity to work with several assistants as well as train many young stylists. During those years of training other stylists, I realized my passion was serving and loving others as well as helping others grow and reach their potential. In 2017 I felt the Lord call me to start my own business, I took the leap of faith and started my own studio salon at 8 months pregnant. I was beyond blessed by the support of my family, friends and clientele as they joined me on this journey. Early 2022 I found myself at a crossroads, questioning what my next steps were. Unsure of whether I was meant to stay home with my kids, cut my hours back or work more with my husband. I was still in love with the beauty industry and what I did everyday but I knew I needed to do it differently. After much time in prayer, God revealed to me that I needed to take a step back before he could take me forward. I truly feel this was his way of pruning, grooming and preparing me for what was next. I offered two friends that were also stylists the opportunity to step into my suite and help out. Walking in obedience, I took the summer to reflect and press into what he had next for me. During this time I was able to see the bigger picture that God had planned, that's when the doors began to open and the desire to fulfill my dream of owning a salon came to life. I truly believe my past experiences were essential building blocks in God's plans to equip me for the journey of salon ownership and leading others to reach their full potential. I have learned that my gift is not to serve myself but to share with others and owning a salon is not about me, its about the success of others as together we serve our community at the highest level. I am committed to creating a healthy environment and continued opportunities for my team to not just grow, but thrive. Our mission for everyone at morgan+co BEAUTY LOUNGE is that they may walk out what it looks like to be a light in the life of others. Being a hairstylist is more than just the art, it's about every opportunity to change someone's day or even their life. We create beauty from the inside out and I believe it starts with having a servant's heart.
